Man predicts the future of cars, says they will be pointless in 25 years

According to Jamais Cascio, a futurist and senior fellow at the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies, no one will own cars in 25 years.

Jamais Cascio, a futurist and senior fellow at the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies, has predicted that cars will be redundant in twenty five years.

In an interview with Business Insider, he said that the availability of self-driving cars and Uber will driving cars out of business.

This is because people will have no need to own a car.

Cascio's prediction is supported by a study that anticipates that self-driving cars will be worth more than $87 billion by 2030.

All of this show that Elon Musk might be on to something as Tesla Motors is becoming number one in the self-driving automobile industry.

Other carmakers like Apple, Toyota, Porsche, Volkswagen, Aston Martin are slowly joining.
