Governor promises to join entertainers’ protest against Buhari

Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose expressed his “total support” for the protest on Tuesday, January 31, via his Twitter handle.

Fayose expressed his “total support” for the protest on Tuesday, January 31, via his Twitter handle.

“To organisers of Feb. 5 “Enough is Enough” National Protest, you have my total support and I will be part of the protest,” the governor wrote.

2face announced plans to lead the protest on Wednesday, January 25, saying that the Nigerian government had failed its people by leading the country into an economic downturn.

“I will no longer be quiet. My partners,  colleagues and I have come together to create a platform for Nigerians to communicate their real pains to government at all levels in a peaceful and articulate manner with a view to getting lasting solutions to our problems,” the musician said on January 31.

“This march is about demanding that our leaders connect with all the people in Nigeria,” he added.

Fayose has been a vocal critic of the Muhammadu Buhari administration and had earlier accused the president of destroying Nigeria’s economy.
