Senate President, Bukola Saraki has again failed to appear before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) to answer to corruption charges levelled against him.

The CCT had issued a warrant for Saraki’s arrest on Friday, September 18, 2015, after he refused to attend the trial but sent his lawyers instead.

According to the Prosecution, the Senate President’s lawyer, J.B Daudu (SAN) had sworn an undertaking to produce him in courttoday, Monday, September 21, but failed to do so.
Presiding Judge, Justice Danladi Yakubu Umar demanded to know why Saraki was absent from the proceedings and in response, the Senate President’s lawyer begged the court to have a little more patience.
The trial is ongoing.
