The Federal High Court gave the order on Tuesday, October 4, in connection with a N25 billion fraud charge brought against Goje by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
This was disclosed by the EFCC via a post published on its official Facebook page.
“Federal High Court sitting in Jos, Plateau State today, October 4th, 2016 issued a bench warrant against former Governor of Gombe State, Danjuma Goje for refusing to show up in court today,” the post read.
“The warrant is however to take effect by 8am tomorrow, October 5, 2016, if he fails to show up in court again,” it added.
Goje is currently the Senator representing the Gombe Central Senatorial District and is also Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation.
