'Cortina' shoes used to be the best 'back to school' footwear way back then. Usually stylish and seen as one for the middle class to upper class kids, the shoes were in a class way above.
Cortina's best colour back then were brown and oxblood, the dark browns too were a bit common. It's known for the signature leather and soft slightly rumpled feel to it, with a soft insole that was extremely comfortable.
The 'Cortina' featured little holes on top (probably for ventilation/reduce feet odour perhaps?). It came buckled as well, with an overlapping detail passed through two 'sliced' points and the signature white/off white rubber sole!
Bet you wore 'Cortina', if you didn't you definitely missed a trend? For those who wore it back then, you surely rocked!
