With the spate of suicide bombers hiding their explosives inside the Islamic veils known as Hijab, there has been calls for the cover alls to be banned, at least for the time being until the menace of the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents have been nipped in the bud.
Though these calls makes a lot of sense, some religious bodies, especially from the Islamic faith, think it will be an abuse of their fundamental rights to religious worship.
But those who are for it cite the examples of Chad and Niger, with large percentages of their people practising Islam, banning the use of Hijab.
On Pulse Nigeria Poll of July 14, the poser was on the topic:
This is how Nigeria voted:
68% - Yes, most suicide bombers hide their explosives under the veil
32% - No, there is no need to ban the veil
How would you vote?
