The device is BlackBerry's first foray into the Android world, a move which became necessary following the companies' downward spiral from the top of the smartphone game.

Media reports reveal that BlackBerry will finally be making its Android-powered PRIV smartphone available in Nigeria via SLOT retail outlets across the country.

The device seems like a proper flagship, on paper at least. It has an 18MP camera, 22-hour battery, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, pixel density of 540 ppi, and SD card support of up 2TB.

The device has also received generally positive reviews since its released back in November 2015.

Since Android broke through the BlackBerry stronghold, Nigeria is largely considered to be one of the Canadian company's last surviving strongholds.
