A 21-year-old man, Femi James, a casual labourer, has been sentenced to nine months imprisonment by an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrate’s Court sitting in Lagos, for allegedly stealing a wheelbarrow valued at N15, 000.
Magistrate Olatunbosun Abolarinwa who handed the sentenced to the accused, said he was sentenced to three months for conspiracy and six months for stealing.
"You are hereby sentenced to a total of nine months in prison and the sentence will run consecutively."
The prosecuting officer, Corporal Cyriacus Osuji, told the court that James had stolen the wheelbarrow, belonging to one Augustine Chukwu, on May 26, at Oyingbo Bus Stop in the state.
