According to BBC, the group said  that "two soldiers of the caliphate" carried out the attack at a conference centre near Dallas, while  IS's al-Bayan Radio news bulletin said that the exhibition "was portraying negative pictures of the Prophet Muhammad".

Both attackers were killed in the ensuing shootout.

2 gun men had yesterday stormed the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, venue of the  conference on cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad which was organised by  the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), which is run by controversial blogger and activist Pamela Geller.
