Kentucky county clerk, Kim Davis, jailed for denying gay couples access to marriage certificates, has asked the court to force the Governor to allow her deny gay marriages.

Lawyers mediating for Davis said on Monday they had asked an appellate court to force Governor Steve Beshear to allow her to refuse to issue same-sex marriage licenses based on her religious convictions.
