Suspects killed in police raid

Said and Cherif Kouachi are said to have died after a three-day manhunt which resulted in a hostage situation and a siege at a printing factory in Dammartin-en-Goele.

According to reports, two suspects, who were being chased by police over the shooting deaths of 12 people in Paris, have been killed.

Amédy Coulibaly, an ally of the brothers who took five hostages in a supermarket in Porte de Vincennes, has also been killed, French newspaper, Le Monde reports.

The suspects reportedly lost their lives after security forces conducted a co-ordinated operation, which involved gunshots and explosions, at both scenes.

All the hostages are said to have escaped unharmed while two police officers were reportedly injured.

The Kouachi brothers stormed the offices of satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday, January 7, and killed 12 people, 8 of them journalists.
