Couple realise the moment they were mugged, by kids no less, while going over old vacation photos.

The couple were reminiscing over their holiday pictures when a photo showed the moment they were mugged by child thieves.

The Reddit user shared the photo with the caption: "Girlfriend in the progress of having her watch stolen."

The rather cute snap shows a woman smiling at the camera in between two young girls in traditional Thai dress in Chiangmai.

Admitting that his girlfriend was "a bit drunk" at the time the photo was taken only exaggerated how oblivious she was to the fact that the kids were robbing her.

Another had a lot to say about the technique that kept the young lady from suspecting the child thieves posing with her.

One said: "Notice how the thief is touching her hand in several places? It's a pickpocket technique so that the mark gets accustomed to being touched by the thief and stops registering all of the touches."

Another user concurred, saying:

"Spot on. A friend of mine is a professional magician who makes watches and wallets disappear as a trick.

"He told me once that his secret was exactly that, putting more pressure somewhere else so the "victim" won't feel other parts of the body."

Eventually, most users moved on from the fact that the kids were little thieves and proceeded to blame the parents for their predicament.
