Dead couple found with arms wrapped around each other
As rescue workers went through the rubble that has now become all that is left of the one time high-rise apartment complex, many were brought to tears as the touching discovery was made.
The dead couple have now been identified as Cai Meng and Huang Ruoxin, who had both been students of Kun Shan University.
CCTV footage shows Huang's arms, tightly wrapped around Cai, as he tried to protect her from falling debris as the roof caved in.
The reports reveal that Huang had hugged Cai so tightly, it had taken a lot of effort from the rescue workers to separate them.
According to Taiwan authorities, the death toll from the building collapse has now risen to 59, with another 63 missing and presumably trapped under the rubble.
Sadly, the rescuers have revealed that the chances of finding any more survivors were now very slim.
