News reports have revealed the unfortunate incident that has left five dead after two elephants went on rampage for unknown reasons in India.

Police officials confirm the incident, revealing that a 40-yr-old man had reportedly stepped out of his home in rural West Bengal state only to find five elephants heading for him.

A senior forest official, Ajay Das, adds that one of the elephants had tossed one of the victims, Prakash Boyra, in the air before trampling him to death as Bardhaman district villagers had screamed helplessly.Mumbai dna also reports  that Anandamoyee Rai and Narayan Chandra Maji, both reportedly 60-year-old, were among the five trampled to death in Nashigram village under the Bhatar police station in the district after they had gone out into the fields, early that fateful morning.
