Man delivers boxes of donuts with his CV hidden inside

Lukas Yla has landed 10 job interviews and counting by delivering them in boxes of doughnut.

Lukas Yla, a 25-year-old Lithuanian marketing professional looking for work in San Francisco, came up with the idea of pretending to be a delivery man and hiding his resume in every box of doughnut he delivered.

So far, Yla says he has made up to 40 of the donut-resume deliveries to recruiters at area marketing agencies and tech firms.

Another wonderful perk of this genius idea is that the resume gets to the right person instead of getting lost in a pile of emails or going through third to tenth parties.

The packages look like a fancy box of doughnuts, made to catch anyone's attention. However, the receiver will find on the inside, a few mouth watery doughnuts as well as Yla's resume on the inside of the cover of the box, making it impossible to miss.

Although Yla admits that his method might be a bit odd, it has been paying off so far and has already gotten himself a couple of job interviews.

When reached via email, he said, "I had 10 interviews so far and I haven't delivered doughnuts to all the companies I admire and love what they're doing yet.

"Recruiters, marketing pros and people, in general, love this kind of approach, it's something you didn't expect, fun and out of the box."

Yla also said that the level of competition for tech and marketing jobs in San Francisco forced him to come up with a whole new strategy.

"I was looking for the most direct way to reach decision makers at the companies.

"I thought, that I might fail competing only on 'resume' level with other candidates that have work experience in San Francisco."

So far, Yla's idea is working just fine just as some ingenious Nigerians have used everything from placards on street corners to food vendors as a means of procuring a job.
