“Know your tyres, your life depends on them" - FRSC cautions

Use only good tyres, your life depends on them

According to the Kubwa Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Chima Okonkwo, motorists can reduce their chances of being involved in accidents by using good tyres, Daily Trust reports.

Speaking during a sensitisation campaign in Kubwa, Abuja, he called on people to always check on their tyres before embarking on any journey.

"Over 40 percent of accidents recorded in the recent past are attributed to tyre burst. That is why we are very passionate about tyre education to ensure that the motoring public gets used to their tyres,” he stated.
