Traffic officials record a 50% increase in violations
A 50% increase in traffic violations has been seen in India.
The Times of India City reports that this increase has been attributed to two things; a growing lack of discipline among motorists and more cars on the roads.
Traffic officials and the police have resorted to fining violators.
According to senior police officials, arrests and fines help in discipling traffic offenders, adding that most violators ceased to misbehave after paying fines.

In order to combat this increase, the police intends to focus on drivers, who operate without wearing the uniform, carry passengers on the front seats, e.t.c.
