The Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Boboye Oyeyemi, is reminding motorists of the need to abide by traffic rules and regulations.

According to him, the festive period is not the time to abandon these rules, adding that the agency will not tolerate traffic offenders.

During a press conference in Abuja, Oyeyemi announced that FRSC is collaborating with the Nigerian Air force.

He said this partnership would result in the surveillance of motorists, hence the need for all road users to obey traffic rules, adding that this will reduce the rate of road crashes.

The Marshal ended by confirming the deployment of about thirty thousand personnel to major roads and cities, saying that this would ensure the safety of road users during this festive period.
