FRSC boss urges officials to focus on reducing road traffic crashes
The Marshal of Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Mr Boboye Oyeyemi, has urged his officials to work harder.
According to Bisi Kazeem, the Head Media Relations and Strategy, Mr Boboye Oyeyemi, the Corp Marshal, appreciated the efforts of the officers in a personal letter, sent to their individual official emails.
After recognising all the good work, he urged them to work harder to reduce road traffic crashes.
"The Corps Marshal has charged all FRSC staff and Special Marshals to work as a team by ensuring reduction of Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs), and making good road safety culture become a stronghold of the shift in attitudinal change among road users.
said that the launch of the FRSC in 1988 preceded the United Nations recommendation of a lead agency for road safety management for member Countries.
He, therefore, saluted the vision of the astute founding fathers of the Corps as well as other staff whose innovative and committed services from the very onset is remarkable,"Kazeem said.
The FRSC currently has a mission tagged "Safe Road in Nigeria", this is targeted towards reducing road crash deaths and injuries by 50% by 2020.
