Uber has announced a new feature called Family Profiles which allows up to 10 riders safely and easily share one payment.

To make use of the feature, make sure you have the latest version of the app. Go to menu and choose settings, scroll down to "Add a Family Profile" and select the contacts you will like to add to your family.

Once the Family Profile rider accepts the invitation, they can start requesting rides from their own phone using the Family Profile as the payment method.

The cost of the trip will be billed to the rider and they will receive receipts once each trip is completed.

For people who will ride via the Family Profile feature, you will just have to open the email invitation which you will receive when you're added as a contact by the organizer.

Once you accept the invite, simply ensure you have the latest version of the Uber app on your device and select Family Profile as the default payment method. Once all of that is done, simply request a ride like you would normally and get going.

For now the feature is not available in Nigeria yet. It is currently limited to Atlanta, Phoenix, and Dallas.
