Korean tech giant to shut down its Milk streaming service by November 20

The company has announced via the apps Google Play listing that it will be shutting down the service on November 20 – which would have been the apps first birthday.

Samsung Milk Video streaming service

In 2015, there are already so many video streaming services and Samsung’s Milk Video – the Korean giants’ own video streaming service – appears to be finding the video streaming business a very tough nut to crack.

To this end, the company has announced via the apps Google Play listing that it will be shutting down the service on November 20 – which would have been the apps first birthday.

Before the ‘kill switch’ date however, the service will continue to offer up the likes of movie trailers, live music shows, and content from platforms like College Humor and Buzzfeed.

If that sounds very similar to YouTube, then you can obviously see the inherent problem. Regardless, the Samsung reiterates that the service will continue to run for now, which is an entirely different fight of its own.
