Company set to unveil Galaxy S6 next month

It is widely speculated that Samsung would unveil the Galaxy S6 on March 1 at the Mobile World Congress. Samsung’s event invite for the congress hints that the next Galaxy could be curved.

It’s a year since the release of the Galaxy S5, and new reports indicate that Samsung Electronics is set to unveil the immediate successor, Galaxy S6.

According to reports, the device is likely to be unveiled on Sunday, March 1 in during the Mobile World Congress, the telecom industry’s big exhibition show in Spain.

The smartphone maker has already started giving out invite for its next media event which will be taking place at the Mobile World Congress.

Samsung seems to have given a clue of what the new Galaxy phone would look like on the invite; the smartphone maker teased an image that appears to be a new device with a wraparound screen, similar to its Galaxy Note Edge. The Edge’s secondary side screen lets users navigate app menus and control media.

One notable factoid about the Galaxy S6 is that it will run on a Samsung chip rather than one from Qualcomm as usual.
