Multi-channel payment platform integrates Visa support

Leading digital payments and commerce provider, Interswitch, has announced that its multi-channel payment platform Quickteller, is now fully integrated with Visa and can now accept all Visa-based transactions via its platform.

This means Visa card holders will now be able to use their cards to conduct transactions such as purchasing airtime, paying bills, and transfer funds through all Quickteller channels.

Speaking at the media briefing session, Akeem Lawal, divisional CEO, switching and processing, Interswitch, said, “This new integration represents an exciting step forward for Interswitch as it fully repositions us as an Independent card processor. Also commenting on the new collaboration between the two platforms, Ade Ashaye, country director, Visa in West Africa said: “One of the primary goals of Visa in Nigeria is opening up the benefits of electronic payments through a number of different platforms in the bid to drive the government agenda of a cashless economy.
