Startup aims to reposition e-ticketing in Nigeria

Onsele is a new event ticketing startup aiming to use NFC to power tickets for event attendees through its online, offline, and onsite distribution channels.

The company’s tickets are reusable, and can be used severally by just topping up. Because the tickets are unique, they can’t be cloned or counterfeited according to the company.

At the venue, organizers will make use of the Onsele mobile app on NFC enabled phones t electronically verify each ticket. The app will be able to tell if the ticket is valid, cloned or previously used within one second.

“We use our technology to help people manage and discover events, with a mission to eliminate the hassles in ticketing solution in Nigeria, and connecting event organizers with event lovers,” says Uzamah Tracy, co-founder of Onsele. “We have introduced a ticketing solution that enables event organizers no matter the size to replace the use of paper ticket with a Reusable NFC enabled smart cards.”

The Onsele platform is open for both paid and free events with users getting real-time updates as well as support for customization.

This is definitely one to watch out for.
