Linda Ikeji announced, back in August, that she would be branching out from her traditional Blogger platform to other forms of media with an online TV, an online radio station, a music website, and something she referred to as "LIS."

As would be expected, a lot of people wondered what "LIS" meant, and yesterday, Linda Ikeji confirmed that it means Linda Ikeji Social.

At the launch event, Linda confirmed that the site has been in testing some weeks, and it was launched officially yesterday, November 1, 2016.

On the website, users will be able to interact with other users, follow other users, send messages, get a direct feed of Linda Ikeji's blog, and post multimedia content as well.

Users will also be able to send in original articles - which Linda will pay for, along with access to an e-commerce bar and a wallet. Users with 50,000 followers or more will also get 20% of ad revenue from Linda.

On the site, LIS is described as a community where users can “make friends, be the first to know when things happen, have fun, and get awesome rewards.”

Users can either create a free account or sign up using their Facebook accounts. In Linda Ikeji's own words, “social networking meets blogging meets classifieds ads/buy and sell all in one package.”

However, a lot of users complained about being unable to access the site for several hours while others said they did not get their confirmation emails for many hours after attempting to sign up.

Linda Ikeji Social is not the same as the Linda Ikeji Blog nor is it replacing Linda Ikeji's blog. It is a whole different platform.
