Media reports confirm that Instagram is preparing to launch a series of new tools for the many businesses and brands making use of its platform.

Some of these tools include business profiles with contact buttons and access to maps and directions, tools for tracking analytics around posts, and a mobile ad-buying experience.

According to a Techcrunch report, there is now a view of what Instagram's analytics look like thanks to a leak from one of the products early testers.

Aspects of the new analytics feature were first posted on Instagram scheduling tool Later.com's blog - the same site that first showed photos of the upcoming business profiles, funny enough.

You should note , however, that the screenshots were taken before the user interface redesign which turned Instagram's interface from blue-and-white to black-and-white. This means when this feature launches on a broader scale, it will have a different visual appearance, although it is very unlikely that the content being tracked will change.

For the follower demographics, details about your followers will be offered, including followers' location, age, and gender. The follower analytics section will also let you track how many new followers you gain on an hourly and daily basis.

The post analytics section focuses on just your Instagram content and how it is performing. This tracks things like impressions, reach, website clicks, and other follower activity. You will also be able to see your top posts sorted by impressions for either the past week or month. You can also track how your posts perform over time - if followers go back and view older posts, or if they only click on new content.

The public launch of Instagram analytics is expected in a few months and it will see Instagram become more like Facebook in terms of its features that are made available to businesses and advertisers.

“We are testing new business tools coming to Instagram in a few months,” an Instagram spokesperson said, according to the Techcrunch report.

Instagram has not confirmed what percentage of its users have the new analytics tools but it has confirmed their existence. Stay with Pulse Tech for more.
