Chinese tech giant's upcoming Mate S device may have Force Touch

For people who don’t know, the Force Touch technology allows the device to distinguish between a light and a strong touch, thereby reacting differently in each case.

Huawei's upcoming smartphone, the Mate S, which is expected to be unveiled next month, could come with Force Touch technology – the same technology that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6s is rumored to carry.

GSM Arena reports that this was revealed in a listing that recently appeared on OppoMart.

For people who don’t know, the Force Touch technology allows the device to distinguish between a light and a strong touch, thereby reacting differently in each case.

The listing revealed other specs which include home-grown Kirin 935 SoC, 5.7-inch (1080 x 1920 resolution) display, 3GB RAM, and 64GB internal memory with support for memory cards.

As for the camera, the device features a 20MP rear unit and an 8MP front shooter.

It also carries a powerful 4100mAh battery, and runs Android Lollipop version 5.1 coupled with Emotion 3.1 UI running on top. There's also a fingerprint scanner and a price tag of $599.
