According to report, telco giant Globacom added over a million new Internet users in the month of April and therefore retained it position as the second largest data service provider in the country.

Data posted on the website of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) showed that Globacom had 19,690,526 subscribers using the internet in April, up from 18,617,607 users it logged in March.

The increase translates to 67.58 percent of the total number of new Internet subscriber figure which stands at 1,587,514 for the month of April.

The recent introduction of numerous initiatives which give more value for money by Globacom could be the reason for the considerable rise in it's internet subscriber base.
