According to our sources, the drivers will be masquerading as riders and requesting Uber rides. When a driver shows up, the protesting drivers will attempt to bring their colleague on board to support the cause.

Another source (who is also an Uber driver) said the drivers have collectively decided to go this route because they would like to press home their message further by ensuring the Uber Lagos driver boycott is as expansive as possible.

Yesterday, Uber drivers in Lagos went on strike and staged a peaceful protest against Uber after the ride-hailing company implemented a 40% fare reduction in the city.
