Twenty of the twenty-eight first class graduating students of the Redeemer’s University (RUN) are females, according to the vice chancellor of the institution, Professor Debo Adeyewa.
20 females, 8 males earn 1st class degrees at Adeboye's RUN
It was an all-women show at the Redeemer’s University (RUN) where 20 females emerged with first class degrees while only 8 males could achieve the same feat. Again, the ladies took 74 per cent of the 2nd class upper degrees.
The Vice Chancellor revealed this at the institution’s 6th convocation ceremony held on the 8th January, 2015, at its permanent site at Ede town, Osun State,
Adeyewa said the institution graduated a total of 28 first class graduate of which 20 were female.
He said a total of 598 students, drawn from the institution’s Colleges of Humanities, Management, Sciences and Natural Sciences, were would be graduating in the 2013/2014 graduation class.
Statistics revealed by him showed that the girls dominated even the 2nd class upper division.
"For the second class upper division, girls are even stronger with 74 per cent representation whereas, boys dominate the lower division," he said.
Adeyewa attributed RUN's success story to Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the Chancellor and founder of the institution.
RUN is owned by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
