4 MAPOLY student rumored dead in cult clash

gathered from reports that the students were killed in different places and times in violence connected to a supremacy battle between the rival cult groups.

According to a Naij report, the victims included an ND II student of Computer Engineering, Muraina Ibrahim, who goes by the alias Elebe and an ND II student of Mass Communication simply identified as Demola.

Elebe was allegedly killed   last Wednesday along the popular sap route while Demola was killed last Saturday along MacJob Street, Fowobi area.

Reports say the other two victims were killed at Mango and Iyana Oloke areas of Abeokuta.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, was quoted as saying nine students were being held in connection with the killings.

Adejobi said those found guilty will soon be paraded, even as some student protested over what they called arbitrary arrest of innocent colleagues.

In December 2014, five suspected members of the Black Axe, a prohibited secret cult society, Olawale Olaniyi, Adeyemi Azeez, Olufalo Bidemi, Osilaja Hammed and Bashorun Sodiq, all MAPOLY students were arraigned on a three-count charge of conspiracy, unlawful possession of firearms and belonging to a secret cult.
