Nigeria's second male national team, the Flying Eagles flew past their test match opponent Clinton Football Academy(CFA) 6-1 on Thursday at the FIFA Goal Project grounds in Abuja.
The Lagos based academy is one of the coach Manu Garba's preferred game test opponents in the build up to the 2015 African Championship qualifier against Lesotho in August.
Taiwo Awoniyi scored a brace, Kelechi Iheanacho converted from the penalty spot, Tunde Adeniji made it four for the Nigerian team after he came on from the bench.
Clinton Football Club pulled one back through Anu Egundipe when he swept on to a blunder from the Nigerian captain Musa Mohammed to fire past goalkeeper Dele Alampasu.
Substitute Adeniji got his second of the game from a Chidiebere Nwakali assist in the 74th minute before Abdullahi wrapped it up 10 minutes before stoppage time to give the 6 times African champions an emphatic victory, sending warnings to Lesotho.
Nigeria was placed third at the 2013 edition hosted by Algeria.
