Squad land in Canada ahead of the World Cup

The Super Falcons of Nigerian have landed in Canada ahead of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.

The squad left Abuja on Wednesday night aboard an Air France airline and landed in Paris around 5:45am local time after a five and half hour trip.

According to the NFF website, the team stayed at the Charles De Gaulle airport during their transit connecting their flight to Toronto.

The team was received by Nigeria Deputy High Commissioner Charles N. Onianwa on their arrival at the Toronto Pearson International airport.

Onianwa urged the girls to put in their best at the World Cup.

"I must first and foremost welcome you to Canada because the tournament we are all looking forward to is a very important one. Last year,  the Falconets did us proud here and now we have the Super Falcons, so expectations are high and we have no doubt that you are going to clinch the cup" said Onianwa.
