Former Super Eagles coach releases statement on why he resigned

Oliseh in the early hours of Friday, February, 26 took to Twitter to announce citing contract violations, unpaid wages and benefits to players and assistant coaches.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have come to claim that they paid .

The sum was for three months salaries (December, 2015, January and February) and N5M for accommodation allowance for six months.

Oliseh in his statement however denies receiving any payment.

“My bank has confirmed that no payments whatsoever as alleged by the NFF has been made to me. (as at as this afternoon of the 29thof February 2016),” Oliseh said in his statement.

He said a letter he wrote to the NFF requesting payment of salaries and bonuses that were already long due and pending, dating back to July 2015 but was ignored by the football body.

He also claimed that the NFF sacked his personal assistant, Tijani Babangida without consulting him first and also without giving any reason for his sudden dismissal.

He ended by stating that he stands by the reasons he gave for his resignation.

“I resigned due to numerous Contractual violations, lack of Support, Unpaid wages, Benefits to my players, Assistant Coaches and myself,” Oliseh said.
