The
Oforborh is reportedly wanted by the England FA for their U-19 set up, but the NFF have moved to secure his services.
The promising midfielder recently signed a professional contract with Bournemouth and has previously played for the U-18 and U-21 set ups of Tottenham Hotspur and Millwall.
Bournemouth confirmed Oforborh’s invitation to the Flying Eagles on their official Twitter account with a message which said, “Congratulations to @NnamdiOfoborh4, He's been called up to the Nigeria under-20s squad.”
Oforborh who was named among the substitute for a Premier League encounter against Swansea City in November 2017 re-tweeted the message which hints that the youngster is excited at representing Nigeria.
Still 18-years-old Oforborh was born on November, 7, 1999 and is expected to make his debut for Nigeria when the Flying Eagles take on the winners between Sierra Leone and Guinea Bissau in the second round of the U-20 AFCON qualifiers.
Oforborh was given birth to in England, by a Nigerian father, He is yet to represent the English set up at any level and is eligible to represent Nigeria.
Head coach of the Flying Eagles Paul Aigbogun is yet to comment on the addition of Oforborh to his team, as they are currently in Egypt for a two-match tour in preparation for the U-20 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
