Confusion over date for 2017 AFCON qualifier

There seems to be confusion on the exact day for the double header between Nigeria and Egypt coming up next month.

Nigeria will host Egypt in Kaduna in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with the return leg to be player a few days later.

The game initially scheduled to hold on Wednesday, March 23 according to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) the game will now hold on Saturday, March 26.

A board member of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has however revealed that they have not been made aware of the change of date.

“No official letters have been received yet regarding the Nigeria-Egypt game’s rescheduling and we’ll announce when we get confirmation,” Ehab Lehitah said on the EFA official website.

Egypt are planning a training camp  Tuesday, February, 23 and a friendly game with Burkina Faso Burkina Faso four days later.
