Liverpool’s head coach Jurgen Klopp has pencilled down Ndidi as a reinforcement to the clubs midfield positions for the summer transfer window.
Liverpool has a lot of options in midfield but Klopp will like to strengthen, as Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are more offensive, while other defensive midfield options, Emre Can could leave on a free transfer, and James Milner is 32-years-old.
The reds have already agreed a deal to bring 23-year-old Guinean midfielder Naby keita from German side RB Leipzig, and Klopp is looking at Ndidi to forge a midfield partnership with his fellow African.
Ndidi has become one of the first names in the starting eleven for Leicester City, since he was brought in from Belgian side Genk to replace Ngolo Kante who left in 2016.
At just 21 Ndidi has already made a name for himself as one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe, as he is the best tackler in the English Premier League.
Ndidi was also ranked as one of the most valuable players in Europe, however Liverpool believe they can secure his services for about $75million.
Ndidi however will be at Leicester till the end of the season and go on to represent Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
