Super Eagles unchanged in September

The Super Eagles are unchanged in the FIFA Ranking released on Thursday, September 3.
 
 

The Super Eagles suffered a massive drop in the July ranking, doing down 15 places to 57 but moved up four places in August.

In the latest ranking Nigeria is still 53rd best country in world football but moved one place to ninth place in Africa from the previous  in the 10th in August.

Algeria (19), Cote d'Ivoire (21), Ghana (27) Tunisia (33) Senegal (38) Cameroon (42), Congo (42) and Egypt (49) are all ahead of Nigeria on the Africa ranking.

Cape Verde drops to 10 in Africa and 56th in the world.

On the World Ranking, Argentina continues to be the leader,  Belgium is still number two while current World champions Germany are still third.

Colombia and Brazil make up the top five teams in the world.

Portugal, Romania, Chile, Wales and England round up the top 10.

Former world champions Spain moved a place up to the 11th spot as Brazil are fifth in the world and third in South America.
