West Ham interested in Nigerian striker

Nigerian striker Emmanuel Emenike might be set for a move to the Premier League as West Ham are interesting in making a January move for him.

According to reports from the UK, agent of the 29-year-old was in England last week to kick off negotiations with the London club.

Emenike is currently signed to Fenerbahce but spent the first half of this season on loan at United Arab Emirate for Al Ain which has been terminated.

West Ham are also considering moves for former player Demba Ba and Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato as they look to strengthen their striker force.

"We are looking long-term for a 20-goals-a-season striker,"  West Ham joint-chairman David Sullivan told Sky Sports.

"There's a possibility that a striker will come in on loan in the next seven days, with an option to buy."
