Chelsea striker Diego Costa will be put through a strict weight-loss regime in a bid to regain fitness.
Costa has suffered a loss of form this season and recently admitted that he out of shape when he resumed pre-season with Chelsea.
Fitness coaches at Chelsea have placed the 26-year-old on a four-week training regime at the Cobham training HQ .
The striker will be returning in this weekend's English Premier League clash against Aston Villa after he was given a three-match ban for violent conduct by the Football Association after clashing with Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny.
"It has been really important for me," Costa said of the training regime.
"I have been able to train with my own specific schedule to help me get better and better.

"The sessions have been good and I have been able to benefit from being here. I have been working on what I needed to work on and I am happy about that."
"I'm going to be very honest," Costa continued.
"Five or six weeks ago, I was not on top of my game, at least physically.
"I got injured at the end of the season and then I went on holiday. Maybe I got out of my diet and when I came back I was not the way I was supposed to be.
"I was a little bit overweight, and that affected my game."
