Enyimba beat Energie 3 - 2, aggregate score (5-2)
Enyimba International were already in the driving seat after they defeated Energie 2-0 in their first leg clash in Benin.
They continued from where they left off, as they scored the games opener in the first minute through Abdulrahman Bashir.
The visitors equalised through Jules Elegbede in the 62nd minute.
Enyimba was restored by Chinoso Okonkwo in the 67th minute.
The visitors equalised again in the 89th minute.
Enyimba sealed victory to progress to the next round when Okonkwo converted a penalty in the 90th minute.
The result means Enyimba progress to the next round after an aggregate victory of five goals against two (5-2).
Akwa united lost 1 - 0 to Al-Ittihad in Libya
After a 1-0 defeat to Al-Ittihad in Libya, Akwa United had to win by more than two goals to progress to the next round.
The first half ended goalless to the frustration of the home supporters, but Akwa United opened the scoring through Aniekeme Asuquo in the 46th minute.
The game ended 1-0 in favour of Akwa United after 90 minutes, and went straight to penalties.
Akwa United and Al Itthad converted their first two penalties.
The third spot kicker for the Libyan outfit failed to convert.
The Libyan side also missed their fourth spot kick while Akwa United converted.
