Leicester are still after Super Eagles captain and CSKA Moscow forward Ahmed Musa aninitial £15.1m was rejected by the Russian club.

After their failed bid, the Premier League leaders  turned their attention to Sampdoria centre-forward Eder.

The striker according to reports wants to remain in Italy as Inter Milan are said to be interested.

Sampdoria have already accepted a £10million bid for Eder and talks are ongoing with the player’s agent, but Inter's interest seems to have disrupted the proccess.

Claudio Ranieri is still determined to add a striker to his squad this window for the title run in and Musa still remains a target.

The Russian club are holding out for fee closer to their £18.9m valuation of the 23-year-old who has scored 10 goals in 29 games this season.

Musa has a £22.8m buyout clause in his contract but Leicester are confident that they can get him for less and are likely to return with an improved bid.
