The battle has been won
Romans 8:27 - "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."
The people who are constantly weighed down by life's challenges, and those, who go through life with a smile, knowing that they are already triumphant.
What is the difference between these two?
The difference is that one is susceptible to the Devil's attacks, while the second is able to withstand these same attacks because he knows that the battle has already been won.
Romans 8:31 tells us, "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us,who can be against us?"
This is further emphasised in Colossians 2:13 -15, which tells us that the death of Jesus Christ cancelled ALL our sins and transgressions, while His resurrection gave us victory over the devil.
"When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross", the verse says.
Readers, God wants us to stop walking, with the weight of the world, on our shoulders, because He has already won the battle.
Note, this does not mean the devil won't try to weigh us down, by pointing out weak areas in our lives, but we can withstand because we have been given victory.
Ephesians 1:3 says, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ."
