Relationships are not perfect but it is important to have a wonderful relationship with yourself because you are the one you spend most of your time with.
Inspired by Lifehack, here are 7 ways to have a great relationship with yourself
1. Laughing
Laughter improves your mood and your overall outlook about life and makes you a better person.
2. Take down a list of things you are grateful for
Every week, sit down and write a list of things you are thankful for. Most times we get depressed because we fail to see how lucky we are. Write everything good that has happened to you even the irrelevant ones and you'll see you'll begin to feel good.
3. Do one little thing that'll make you happy everyday
It doesn't matter how absurd it may be, just do it. To be happier, just look forward to doing it first, anticipate then you'll surprised at how well you'll enjoy that activity of yours.
4. Spend time with like-minded people
Spending time with people who have similar interests as you, will greatly improve your mood. You are bound to fall in-love with how unique you are by spending time with these kinds of people.
5. Begin a new hobby
Remember that skill you've always wanted to learn? You should start now, it'll help you boost your self-esteem and self-worth.
6. Always say positive things about yourself
Words like "I'm stupid' or 'I'm not good enough' should be crossed off your vocabulary. Keep saying good things about yourself then you'll feel your mind and later your body adjusting to what you constantly profess.
7. Treat yourself to a date
Date yourself, put on your favorite outfit and just take yourself out on a date. Walk or take a long fulfilling ride, just make it all about you.
