What's your biggest book pet peeve? What is that bookish thing that annoys you and may well seem acceptable to others? However, here are 10 bookish stuff that annoys or bothers Nigerians too much.
1. Dirty People
Peeps who leave akara, puff puff or bread crumbs between pages!!
2. Pirated copy
When you buy a new book at Ojuelegba and you realize too late that it is pirated.
3. The Book borrower
When people forget that they borrowed a book from you.
4. Damaging a book
When someone rips out the pages of a book. How is the book supposed to make any sense when there are missing pages in it?
5. Reading in the loo
When you drop a book in the toilet, while reading.
6. Eww dirty habits
Library books last read by a nose picker.
7. Highlighting
Only savages do that, while ruin a beautiful book with a stupid pen. (buy a diary or a book highlighting book)
8. Noisy readers
People who read out loud.

9. Irregular book size
Irregular book size because you just want your bookshelf to look nice and there are books sticking out every where, I'm fine with a thick book but not an ultra tall one.
10. Damaging my book
Why do people put stickers on books? it's murder I don't care if it's soon to be a major motion picture or if it's new York times best seller I just want my book to have no marks or smears on it.
11. Snobbish Authors
I once mailed an author for an autograph and he ignored me. Nigerian authors do this a lot and it is very annoying

12. Preachy Authors
“Proselytizing has no place in literature.”
I can’t take you seriously as an author if I believe you’re trying to win a debate with me or some other vague force out there you disagree with.
13. Bookstores that organize their books using some mystery system
If I have to look in ten places for one book I’m gonna give up and go somewhere else.
14. Weird names
I once read a book that gave its main character the name "American Singer" Not sure why it bothers me so much, but it does. It seems to me that authors (especially YA contemporary authors) give their protagonists extremely unusual names in an effort to make those characters more memorable. That’s ridiculous!

15. Every character's appearance is described at length.
Nothing, absolutely nothing, will make me annoyed quicker than this. Maybe it matters to other readers, but I honestly don’t care what a character looks like unless it has importance to the plot
