Political analyst urges sacked governor to prepare for re-run elections

A political analyst in Lagos has advised the sacked Rivers State governor, Barr. Nyesom Wike to quit fighting and get busy with preparations towards the re-run elections.

A political analyst, Mr. Eterigho Okuweh, has advised the sacked Rivers State governor, to quit fighting and get busy with preparations towards the re-run elections.

Okuweh, who spoke to National Mirror, said rather than castigate members of the panel of the election petition tribunal that sacked him, he should concentrate more on the coming elections.

The analyst, who hinted that he sees the APC candidate as a better prepared candidate, also called on Wike to stop apportioning blame on any individual or group for the current political development in the state.

In his words, “I advise him to accept the verdict of the tribunal in good faith, get himself prepared for the rerun and let the people of Rivers State decide who is to govern them.

“My advice to every contestant in Rivers state governorship rerun is to get themselves prepared for the election and let people decide who is to lead them”, he further said.
