Go and rescue Benue people from Fulani herdsmen – Governor tells Ortom

Wike also told the Benue Governor to focus his attention on paying Benue workers their salaries.

According to Daily Post, Governor Ortom allegedly made some negative remarks about Wike during the rally.

In a swift reaction, the Rivers Governor slammed Ortom telling him to go and rescue his people from the hands of Fulani herdsmen.

Wike also told the Benue Governor to focus his attention on paying the backlog of salaries which he is owing.

The Rivers Governor also alleged that Governor Ortom used the Federal Government’s bailout funds to sponsor his business.

Wike said “That one that cannot pay salaries to his workers for almost one year? That one that Fulani herdsmen have almost finished his people and he cannot do anything? Do you want to be like Benue?‎”

According to reports, the APC Chairman, John Odigie Oyegun told party members during the rally in Rivers state to fight back if they are harassed.
