Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly launched an attack on polling units in Gombe State leaving two people dead, residents say.
“We could hear the gunmen shouting, ‘Didn’t we warn you about staying away from (the) election?” an election official, who chose to remain anonymous said.
Boko Haram insurgents had earlier warned residents against voting during the elections and the sect's leader, Abubakar Shekau had also vowed to disrupt the polls.
