APC planning to re-write election results – Ize-Iyamu

The Edo governorship elections were scheduled to hold on September 10 but were postponed by INEC.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of plotting to rewrite results of the coming elections in the state.

Ize-Iyamu further said that “party agents should not be allowed to see how voters vote; there should be safe distance. Illiterate voters should be assisted only by relatives, not by party agents.”

The PDP candidate also urged all eligible voters across the state to be calm and law-abiding assuring them that their votes would count and be protected.

The Edo governorship elections were scheduled to hold on Saturday, September 10, 2016, but were postponed to September 28 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for security reasons.
