Explosion hits Enugu polling unit

An explosion has reportedly occurred at a polling booth in Enugu State.

The blast was reportedly caused by a car bomb which went off at the WTC Primary School in the state, according to Daily Post.

Details of the incident are still sketchy but updates will be provided as events unfold.

Nigerians all around the country have gathered at various such booths to cast their votes for today’s  (March 28) Presidential elections.

Speaking on the incident, The Commissioner of Police, Dan Bature, confirmed the blast and said another was averted by the Anti-Bomb Squad.

Voters are urged to be on the lookout for suspicious activity.
